In the Wet

Abstract Tuesday; regrettably too early for Abstract Thursday.

Raining constantly today, and I wasn't prepared to step much further outside than our front deck. And on the other side of the world, you're having a heatwave.

Days like today remind me I want to watch Lars von Trier's The Element of Crime again. It's one of a few movies (Peter Greenaway's The Falls is another) that frustrated me the first time I saw it, but images still stick with me nearly 40 years later. I am a more patient viewer these days, readier to indulge the indulgent.
