Owl

For once an obliging Short-eared Owl that posed at the side of the road for me.  Always spectacular creatures to admire.
Starting now to sort out the house for our French sojourn whilst Tricia gets stressed creating cushions for a commission.
In the evening, a presentation by archaeologists from Reading and Southampton University up here looking at some island crannog sites - sites that we had surveyed last year to help them decide on their strategy. They are here for a month so it will be fascinating to hear and see what they find.
