Ants in hummingbird feeder

I looked at my hummingbird feeder this morning and saw that the ants had discovered the feeder. There are hundreds of dead ants in the solution and hundreds climbing the pole to get to the feeder.
I took the feeder down, washed and refilled the feeder, and put it up in a different place nearby. Hope that works!
