Life on the Road

Last night the power went off in the coach around 7:30pm. Tony went out  to check if the circuit breaker had tripped and discovered that the 50 amp plug had melted. I am grateful Tony is a stickler about safety. We do use a surge protector and I am sure it saved us from more damage, although it is suppose to alleviate situations like this.

I am grateful that Tony had a repairman come in on Sunday to tweak our awning that wasn't lined up. Tony called him and he was here within an hour. The plug on the extension cord was spliced as best as possible giving us power until the replacement arrives tomorrow along with a new surge protector. We are being judicial with our air conditioning use as that is what takes the most power. We will now be carrying an extra plug and hopefully won't ever have to use it.

Our neighbors told us about a device that tracks humidity and temperature to alert us if there is a problem when we are away. It will put our mind at ease about leaving Bunker during these high temperatures.
