The Untrained Eye

Cowley to Painswick

We cycled the short but so hilly distance back to our car left in Painswick and then home.

But before leaving Painswick we visit the Rococo gardens which were created, in the 1740's , by the obviously prosperous Hyett Family adjacent to their house to delight their many rich and important friends.

Rococo is a France / Italian style involving scroll like forms which is is not
maybe so reflected in the current garden which was refurbished and modified in the 1980s.

Extras show a change from owls and animals woodcarving and a wonderful flower which will require a bit of research to find out what it is.....or maybe not. naming it won't make it more beautiful.
