Jillian's Journal

It's on its way . . . . .

. . . . . . to another site, believe it or not. I visited a friend's lifestyle block this morning, where he is building an enormous space-age-looking shed, big enough to house a plane one day, plus anything else needed for farming 40 acres. So much work has already been done, and has yet to be done, while he lives in a motor home and oversees a business in Christchurch.

And this shed, the old laundry - it brought a big smile to his face.. It's the only remaining building on the property, and is surrounded at present by the remains of huge old macrocarpa trees. The intention is plant an orchard, with the wee shed shifted to the centre, where a concrete platform is now waiting for it. It's leaning rakishly at present, looking downright disreputable but is sound enough, and N. definitely wants to have its charming presence gracing the fruit trees.

I've had a fiddle with it, post processing in Lr, and have tried to reproduce the feeling I had about it when I saw it.

For those of you who were interested in that container ship, in my blips yesterday and the day before, what it contained, and its whereabouts - it's now docked at the only remaining usable container wharf in Lyttelton Harbour and you can see it here Hope this link works! The ship's a great deal larger than it looked way out to sea, that's for sure. I couldn't see any hint of Nikons, Alan!
