Miners lettuce-

Always beautiful seeing this lush green mat appear under the kanuka bush canopy this time in winter. For the early miners it was the only source of vitamin c- I can’t myself lucky I have lots growing in my garden as well which is a useful extra ‘green’ at this time of the year
