Progress

My grandmother gave me a small bag of interesting feathers gathered over the years and no longer any use to her. This is the start of a gift in return - an owl made out of (possibly) owl feathers. 

Still working on the head. I thought to use felt but it looked too fake, so now I am thinking to try using tiny white feathers layered over each other. Hoping that will do the job!
