Plums

It's very hot here and my neighbour kindly gave me about ten kilos of these small yellow plums as he thinks I can make jam. Extra shows his trees have more than my tree. They will have to be frozen for a bit. I don't know exactly what they are. I suppose black damsons would make more interesting jam. These will need less sugar and some lemon. They are oval but I think similar to mirabelles. There are small yellow damson plums, but those are clingstone, whereas these are freestone. I think I then stone them but put the stones in a muslin bag to add pectin. I can't actually see myself doing more than 2 kilos at a time in my jam pan and I doubt I'll be able to do them all.
