Walking with God Faithfully In Perilous Times!

This morning was the first Sunday of the July sabbatical for the choir and orchestra, when the musical ensembles help lead the worship and provide special music.  Today's worship was led by the mixed ensemble that I sing in, Jubilate, so I am sure that you can guess which picture in the collage my wonderful husband took for me, but I took all the others and put the collage together myself.  We started the service with Jubilate singing the upbeat "I Got Saved".  After that, we led the congregational songs that joined and lifted our hearts and voices in praise to God.  Just before Pastor Wes came to take us through Chapter 3 of Habakkuk, Jubilate presented one more song, "Jesus, My Rock Of Ages" reminding us that Jesus is always available to us and He never changes, no matter what is happening around us.  Chapter 3 of Habakkuk is a prayer, acknowledging that the prophet has heard of the coming judgement of the people which will be a difficult time for those who serve the Lord and there will be suffering as the people reap the consequences of their willful disobedience to God's laws.  For the details on all that is coming toward them, I suggest you watch the Live-stream as Pastor Wes speaks about it. In the end, Habakkuk is told that he must wait patiently to see all that God is doing to bring His people back onto the right path, that he must walk faithfully, no matter what is happening around him  Not an easy thing to do, but a necessary thing to bring about the repentance of the people , so that God can bless them again.....Sounds like something, we would do well to remember in these times that we are living in now.  God is working, though we may not see it and He is still in charge though we may not understand how He is working......We just need to wait patiently and trust that He will do what He promises in His time......
