Goose

In January, family in Ireland bought a new German, built in Italy, mobile home (Hymer/Etrusco) after the events of last few years which have destroyed plans for our family meetings and burnt some unrefundable Ryanair tickets.

Sadly, they had only just started doing some touring to get to know how it all happens when the motor (Fiat) showed up some warning symbols. The camper dealer had to get it to a Fiat workshop and as we also personally witnessed with Angie's car laid low for 6 weeks waiting for parts, so it was with theirs.

Now however with their journey to us coming up, off they went to the coast in Mayo, a lovely isolated beach (one other camper) for the weekend. If only Ireland had reliable summer +20°C dry weather in the summer - then they wouldn't need expensive ferries and I would be flying to them.

The 'Goose' looks quite small and like most camper vans would be only legal on the open road for 4 people, but Kate had specifically gone for one that legally allowed 6 seat-belted seats, specifically so I can ride along too.
