Ringlet

I have been keeping a list of the butterflies I have seen so far this year (below), and realised that, although I have seen 17 species, I have only blipped 5. So here is a 6th, the least showy of all, the beautiful little Ringlet, of which we have dozens and dozens in the long grass (and occasionally on the lavender where they are easier to snap).

Brimstone
Comma
Dark Green Fritillary
Large Skipper
Large White
Marbled White
Meadow Brown
Orange-tip
Painted Lady
Peacock
