It's Good To Be Duke!

Oh my word.  Today we tramped through the splendorous wonders of Chatsworth, gasping at all the opulence and marveling at a lot of the art (but not all!).  After we'd toured the inside, we emerged to a gentle rain which felt wonderful after all the heat of the last several days.

We easily got our 10,000 steps in wandering the grounds, admiring the fountains, the views, the gorgeous greenhouses and kitchen and cottage gardens.  I took almost 100 photographs today!

This is a view of the south front of this very grand house with its gold-ornamented window frames and Latin motto (Cavendo Tutus) being admired from afar by a faithful hound.
