That kangaroos have lesser rues upon their backs to bite them?

Lesser Meadow Rue, Thalictrum minus

A plant related to buttercups (Ranunculaceae) but without any petals (apetalous). 
Around here it grows in calcareous soils and particularly shelly sand dunes.
