(193) Weathered

I wanted to cycle from Whitby to Scarborough today but not going there and back via the Cinder Track as I prefer to find different routes out and back. A while ago I discovered Komoot, which is a route planning and navigation app/website. Users of the app can upload routes and add photos, comments etc. and these are all searchable by location. That's how I ended up cycling over Fylingdales Moor and through May Beck forest, Raincliff Woods etc, and thoroughly enjoying the ride. Distance today was 60 miles over a range of terrain, with 4000ft of climbing. The Turbo Creo is absolutely made for this sort of cycling and coped very well with all but a couple of very rocky patches on the moors which required a bit of walk & push. The blip is from North Beach in Scarborough at a twice-lifescale sculpture of Freddie Gilroy, a former miner, then soldier. The details can be found here.
