There's a digger in my garden!

Just as well there's something exciting, as there's not much garden left. I rather wish I could join the children next door, watching it all over the garden wall.

The bricks reclaimed from the demolition - many with green paint on on face - are in a pile to the right of the image.

Upstairs, filthy strips of insulation dangle from joists where ceilings used to be and the plasterboard on the one partition (as opposed to load-bearing walls) is down.

All the carpets have gone except the one in the front room downstairs and this evening I emptied that room of the remaining things I want to keep - a basin and some cupboard doors.
