Cow with Texture

Having been looking for texture over the last week it was only fitting that I Blipped this from our walk this evening. It was a warm day but a lovely evening, with a breeze cooling the temperature to the low 20s. We decided to walk rather than run the Wednesday evening trail route as S is only just recovering from whatever affected him over the last few days & an 8Km run seemed a little stressful at this stage. Starting from Barham, to the north of Ipswich, the route took us up through the parkland of the Shrublands Estate towards Coddenham before circling back again.

The extra shows a glimpse of Shrublands Hall, taken from the public footpath. Sad to think that this 18th century mansion which has served as a private residence, a convalescent home during WW1 & a fashionable detox centre in the 1960s has been at the centre of failed ventures since its sale in about 2006 & is now being left to decay & is on Historic England's Heritage at Risk register.
