Fly

I do not intend to start a series of blips on dead insects. However this (deceased) fly had expired with its legs akimbo.

Rather than photograph it where it lay this fallen rose petal provided a colourful backdrop.

Once the heavy morning rain eased the day brightened considerably and you could feel the temperature rising. As night fell it dropped considerably to around 10oC. Shame we cannot export cool air down south. It looks as if they will need it with forecasts of overnight temperatures of 33oC on Monday.
