American Germander

American Germander is native to North America and is found across the contiguous U.S. and in much of Canada. It's a volunteer in our yard and is coming up everywhere. A volunteer, perhaps introduced into the yard by a passing bird, it doesn't seem to be invasive... but we'll see.
In the *extras...our middle child...Tara. C made a meatloaf and Tara got to lick the mixing bowl. This has been a tough year for our sweet girl. She has had surgery on her left knee, TPLO, and now it looks as though her right knee might be headed down that same path. She has an Ortho Evaluation scheduled for Aug. 8. Fingers and paws are crossed. Her front left paw is wrapped because she's fighting an infection in her 'special' paw and of course insists on licking it. Through it all Tara is in good spirits and is as sweet as ever!
