Life of a bubble maker

Done it

Early start for both of us, J had to be at the swim briefing at 8.45 so left me with the dogs to follow down a bit later. Got there just as the train to take them to the end of the lake was being fitted to the carriages, which made a nice picture. Met them after the briefing and found a quite spot for J and SR to get into their wetsuits. Went to the platform to see them off and then headed into the woods behind the station to see what there was. We stumbled on a nice way marked walk that went through part of the old slate mine building and out onto the side of the hill which overlooked the lake. Kilda had a great time off lead and Darwin was good on his new bungie lead. Met a nice couple along the way and only a few dogs, which Darwin was good with. Headed back to make sure we would be at the finish for when J got out. We were waiting on the lakeside when they saw us close to the finish, Darwin just wanted to go in and swim the last bit with J. They managed to do the 3k swim in 1:30, which was fantastic considering the fact that J hadn’t managed to get any training in this year. Headed back to the campsite for a quiet afternoon not doing much. Listened to a bit of the cricket and the women’s tennis final. Burgers for an early dinner and then we watched another couple of episodes of ‘Only murder in the building’
