Burg Pfalzgrafenstein

On route from Dusseldorf to the Black Forest - it was a bit overcast though. We are doing the €9 monthly train pass where you can go anywhere in Germany, as long as you're using the local train network.  What a bargain! 

This is an island castle where merchants had to pay a toll to use the Rhine. Taken from the Koblenz-Mainz train.
