Commissioning Cath

Today was all about commissioning Cath, who has worked almost 24 years for our church, and is now going to work in Porthleven in Cornwall - that's our oldest on the left, and our minister on the right - they were doing a sort of replica of our first ever Livestream at the beginning of the pandemic - how long ago that seems. Deb had put together some great videos - which had Cath in tears more than once.

Went to the 8:30, dashed home for breakfast, back for the 10:30, then Mike and I walked to Under Pressure for an absolutely delicious iced coffee and to see Elliott, who is going to B'ham Uni (well done!), then to the church picnic in Rectory Park (extra), for Cath, and for Gill's 70th.

Tried to have a nap in the hot attic, then off to church again for the 6:30. Have thoroughly enjoyed the singing and the teaching, but gotta admit to being a bit peopled out, so many folk to talk to (and hard to choose which photo again).

Gratefuls:
- so many wonderful people
- being able to be here for this significant day in our church
- eating leftovers together at the end of the day
