Jamming

It’s the Rothbury
Music Festival this weekend. Drive into Rothbury and found a parking place, then headed to The Turk’s Head to hear the Northumbrian Pipers (Northumbrian Pipes are like bagpipes but instead of blowing into the pigskin, you use a pump method with bellows attached to your elbow). The sound is much more mellow.
The pipers has taken over the restaurant so we sat in the bar. In the corner of the bar were five fiddlers jamming. Other musicians joined in and a good time was had by all.
We left when the music stopped and headed for our favourite Italian restaurant for supper - then home to bed!
