Japanese Anemone

I imagine that today is one of those rare occasions when all of the UK basks in sunshine. Spent the day in the shady parts of the garden again hoping to spot some butterflies but none to be seen. There were very few birds about either, trying to keep cool in the shade of a tree or hedge I expect. This Japanese Anemone (and many more) pops up through the paving stones in my back garden each year, it was enjoying the full sun!
