As secure as Fort Knox

You know those bronze covers that always seem to get stolen off the fire department connections ? There is a reason they are there... they keep small creatures and debris from getting in and clogging the pipes that are connected to a building's fire sprinkler system.

The same company that makes those locking key boxes that hold the keys to a building in case of emergency, has now come out with a new product to thwart the theft of the stand pipe covers. These days, they are even making key boxes for private residences. Only the local fire department has a master key to open the boxes and covers.

The Knox Box company takes their name from a reference to Fort Knox, which is often used as a synonym for "a very secure location."
