Ringed Plover

While sitting on a rock at the Hoswick Beach there were a couple of adult Ringed Plover very agitated by our presence. It’s a part of the rocky beach that can be busy but the reason for the agitation was soon spotted when next to me there was this Ringed Plover chick. We beat a hasty retreat and as we walked the path above the beach spotted bot adult birds with two chicks.
