A member of the mile-high club

I exaggerate. She was high up though - not far below the summit of the Sugar Loaf mountain (596m). I think she is a queen red-tailed bumblebee, Bombus lapidarius. I hope Vodkaman will correct me if I'm wrong. Take a look at her ra-ra skirts on large!

Lovely walk up there this morning, a stiffish breeze and a couple of bursts of hail notwithstanding.
