Thursday

The day of Roger's funeral.

Jo chose a woodland burial with absolutely no religion and it was perfect.

We followed Roger's coffin through the trees and watched his son and friends lower it into the grave. People made speeches and it was beautifully informal. Children ran around and then watched curiously graveside.

Kelvin's tribute was particularly poignant as he talked of their dog walks and I was often a part of those walks. What a true friend Kelvin was.

Storm and Teg came too and Storm howled for a while and I just wonder if Storm knew.

Just as proceedings came to a close, The Korean Black Eagles flew over in a formation.

Jo was overwhelmed, as was the car park and the pub afterwards!

RIP Roger xx
