Los Jilgueros Preserve

After a couple weeks hiatus, we got back to our adventure walks today. Our original destination was blocked by a rather imposing Camp Pendleton entrance gate, so we ended up at the Los Jilgueros Preserve in Fallbrook. This walk was much more shaded than our last foray and therefore more enjoyable despite the early morning heat. It was also on land that used to be a ranch, which meant a number of old, rusted pieces of equipment adjacent to the trails.
