Freshness

As moths fly around following emergence they loose scales from their wings and the colours tend to fade a bit ( or a lot) over time. So it is always a delight when I trap a newly emerged specimen, none more so than this Campion Moth which when fresh has a tracing of beautiful purple lines across the wings.
