Queen’s Baton Relay

The Commonwealth Games begin in Birmingham next week and the traditional  baton relay has been travelling all over the Commonwealth and this country. To day was Stratford-on-Avon’s turn. 
I happened to have a hair appointment in Stratford this morning so hung around to see the baton being carried across the River Avon on the old Chain Ferry There is a message from Her Majesty contained inside.
I wasn’t standing in the middle of the river, the path curves round a bit at this point so I had a good view.
