corn cockle

This is one of the wild flowers from a free packet of seeds that was on a bottle of gin that Kathy bought for us. I grew them in a big tub. Corn cockles aren’t so widespread as they used to be so I’m pleased to have some. The flowers seem to sit within a beautiful green star - so pretty.
We had Kathy and Jim round for dinner tonight - they came back from their cruise a few days ago.
