Weather Change

It rained in the night, and on and off this morning, and the temperatures are closer to what we think of in the UK as 'a nice summer's day'. Happily, it was dry long enough between showers for us to dry a wash on the line and have it ironing dry before needing to transfer it to a clothes airer. When I say 'ironing dry', it's not to say that it's all going to get ironed by any means, though some bits will be.

The bees and hoverflies were as busy as ever today and the bramble blossom is so pretty, so here are the two combined. It's funny - the brambles are mostly covered in blossom and/or very small, pale berries - and then in amongst all of these appears the odd big, ripe, ready-to-eat blackberry. Summer meets Autumn! (But not yet - it is defo still Summer!)
