Box of jewels

A watercolour paintbox full of promise. The finest pigments (Old Holland) made into pans of opaque, square jewels of colour, wrapped in golden 'candy' foil - all reassuringly toxic.
Any real artist would probably have a limited palette of about 6 pans and any real colourist could achieve any hue under the sun by mixing just 3 (Cadmium Yellow, Alizarin Crimson and Ultramarine Blue).

The box is full because I need to devise my own colour palette for portraits and some ambitious acrylic projects, unfortunately it might take some time - Delacroix said "colourists are born"!
