Waiting for a train

After a highly calorific breakfast the taxi arrived on time and we arrived at the station at 11.00 for the 11.38.

It was cancelled.

Got on the 12.38 (once again the mobility assistance people were lovely). Along with a lot of other people.
 The popped us in First call where we were looked after with complimentary food and drink.

The train then stopped before Preston and waited. Eventually found out that there was a fatality on the line so the train went back to Lancaster and they turfed us off.

Much chaos and confusion.

Around 15.30 the nice staff put us back onto an overcrowded train and we got back to Euston 5 hours late.
