Why?

I spotted this bee this morning seemingly hanging in mid air twitching.  Closer inspection revealed a spider injecting venom.  Why does nature turn on the insects that are beneficial?

A bit of a busy day as I needed to get some Ikea returns ready and one piece was supporting the wardrobes so that needed to be retrieved and replaced.  Mission largely accomplished.
