Memories

Memories of Kent village cricket, never in a league, always friendlies between village sides. Four hours on a hot field, the match start time set so close of play would coincide with the village pub’s opening time. 100 yards from ground to pub, and the evening spent with fellow cricketers and Shepherd Neame. And the aroma of hops over the glass. Now the Cromarty town shop is stocking it, so it’s got to be done!
