England Day 1 - Plymouth

Everything went smoothly with the flight (which was full), landed and got my luggage within 30 minutes (yes Heathrow). Got a good offer and upgraded the hired car to a large gas guzzling Mercedes SUV. For the next two weeks we are travelling the length and breadth of England. 

The Drive to Plymouth took around four hours, but the service stations were blocked with cars, so only stopped once. Friends have an apartment in Plymouth overlooking the water. Karen has been here for just over a week, and typically the clouds have appeared.
