An old map, or rather, the title of one that the family came across when I was sixteen, or before. It was certainly before we moved from the house I'd grown up in, which isn't shown on this map, but could have been. Whilst this version was produced in 1922, it's based on information from more than ten years before, which is to be expected. Takes a lot of time to collect everything together, and more so in the times this was created.

For any map lovers, archaeologists, or historians, there are so many small details recorded on the map, and I remember being fascinated by all of those for the areas that I'd thought I knew well. Came across it today, whilst sorting stuff out, and so many childhood memories were revived of that area in the 1960s and 70s, up until we moved, and I left school, in 1977. Happy, innocent, childhood days, and very different times.

I'd like to collect them here, but I don't as yet know how to do so. Had considered a separate journal, and may still do that, in some way. Trouble is, I'd want to see how it is now, to relate it to those times. Having daily photos from somewhere that's about 160 miles away, is not going to happen. Visits may collect a load of snaps for various tales, but that's not the Blip way, at least, not for we old hands that stick firmly to the simple basic rules set out at the start of Blipfoto. Many don't. Very many, now. Unfortunately.

We forget how many things have come and gone over the years. Things that aren't on the Internet, so many future generations will never know what those years were like. No, it wasn't all as per news, fashion, media stars, and politicians of those days... and never is, or will be, for the vast majority of us.

Something else was re-found, that I knew was about. An old print that my ex bought abroad. Recall first finding that some long time after we'd split up, and moving it out of the loft to send it to her, but knew not where she was. About ten minutes on the Internet revealed the precise address from clues found. Bit scary how easy that was, in some ways, and makes you wonder, how much should one reveal... ?

Extra - small details are easily lost at the edges and folds.
