The old Hydro Hotel track

Built in the late 1880s by the Hydropathic Hotel so that their guests could take a horse and carriage  up to the view points at Post Knott and Brant Fell. You can see here one of the seats for the weary, built into the rock .  The Hydropathic Hotel got shortened to the Hydro Hotel and has recently been shortened again to "The Ro."  Its a luxury hotel but they don't offer carriage rides any more
