Saint Michel

Very hot in Paris today. We only realised it was the final day of the Tour de France after it had finished. We wondered what all the helicopters were for! Should have checked earlier.

Anyway, to avoid the sun we had a look around Les Invalides. The museum does not have that many interesting artifacts to display (except the Plan Reliefs). How many different costumes of cavalry officers can you display? But, it is very very good at explaining French history and the chronology of events. Since my last visit there also seemed to be some new really good computer based maps which showed how campaigns and battles progressed.
