Berlin

We’ve had a fascinating day in Berlin today. Our guide this morning took us on a 3 hour walking tour and provided us with a brief history lesson to accompany seeing the sights. My photo is of a bit of the Berlin Wall that remains, fenced off to stop people removing chunks of it. We also saw the Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate, the memorial to the murdered Jews of Europe and a statue commemorating the kinder transport. I’ve put these in the extras. It’s been very hot again today, 35 degrees and very humid. We had to return to the hotel this afternoon for a lie down! Tomorrow we have the very long and tedious journey home.
