48 years and Pareidolia

Our 48 th Aniversary. Hard to believe it. I dont feel that old. Time flies when you're having fun.

We werent planning to go away but wed postponed last weeks trip to gelt Ms bonsai so today we set off for our mini break.

A stroll round Latterbarrow  nature reserve en route to the Motorway Blip is of an 'animal face'

The M6 was busy with what seemed mostly trucks and articulated lorries but at least the traffic was moving unlike the traffc travelling north which seemed static for at least 10 miles. My sympathies to those who were stuck in it. Been there and no how awful it is.

We stopped at Trentham gardens for sandwiches and P break as it's a convenient 2/3 of the way and reached the hotel on schedule.

We hot our usual room but that wing is cut off from the rest of the hotel as they are doing extensive refurbishments. It meant going outdoors and walking to the restaurant  or out one door, back I doors, up a flight of stairs down 2 corridors and down 2 flights. That should keep us fit. Otherwise its a perfect room as its quiet and right next to an exit.

We had a nice stroll round the grounds. A lot of the grass has died as a result of the very high temperatures down here last week.

We had a nice meal , toasting ourselves Happy Anniversary  then another walk with Fletch as it was still daylight.

We usually have early nights on holiday and were just settling down in bed when the fire alarm went . Oh it was LOUD.
As we were right next to the fire door we werent particularly worried but I took Fletch out as the noise was bad. Of course it was raining!
It was as I expected a false alarm, probably  set off by some one having a smoke.. this happened last year when we were here!

Once inside I then had wash Flet hs paws which had somehow got very muddy.
Finally managed to get to sleep.
