Green bottle fly.

We went for a steady bike ride this morning, then in the afternoon I did a bit of bike fettling. Getting spare parts is really problematical. 
Bottle fly maggots are sometimes used to treat wounds. They promote new growth by feeding on the dead tissue, and also produce an antimicrobial enzyme to prevent future infection.
I prefer Germolene.
