Travelling dog

Hers Berry looking like butter wouldn't melt, sitting on the bench seat in the motorhome. We've had our maiden journey which was uneventful for us but obviously not much fun for Berry.  I hadn't appreciated what a bad traveller she is; I did wonder, as she is reluctant to get in the car but had no idea quite how uncomfortable she is. Poor thing. I'll see if I can find something to help.

Anyway, early start to catch the substitute ferry, good old Pentalina, a hall down to the dealership where we bought the van for some snagging issues and then on to a campsite close-ish to Glasgow.

Things we have learnt (other than Berry's malaise): today's travelling was too far; no matter how much padding you use, something, somewhere will rattle; if you wave to someone in another motorhome they'll mostly wave back (it seems to be a Thing you do); the Highlands weren't called that for nothing and require quite a bit of gear changing; that the passenger seat IS adjustable, despite what the chat forums say; that pulling over and letting the line of traffic behind you through gives a warm, virtuous glow and definitely is worthwhile.  I'm sure there are many more but I think that's enough pearls if wisdom for one day ;-)
