Cutting the cake around 4pm, 54 years ago today.

The newly wed Talpas cutting the cake made by Talpa's mum, back in the mists of time.
Luckily we were far too poor to have the colour photographs that were becoming fashionable, and which by now would have turned to lurid shades of green and mauve. Our cheaper B&W prints are still as good as new, 54 years later.
