Bicycle 1

On my way to the blipping grounds, I spotted a lot of cyclists, so I decided to stop and grab a few exploratory pics.

I have never photographed cyclists before, but had an idea that a low angle was the way to go. Lots of people came out of their houses and shops to see what was going on, with the crazy bald guy sitting in the road, photographing traffic. Water off a ducks back, I just don't care what people think anymore.

I only had the 105 with me today which doesn't seem to capture the effort of these athletes. Next time I will have the 28-85 and see if that does any better.

Generally, you don't see too many cycles on the roads, but I knew there was a strong cycling fraternity from the specialist cycling equipment shops, selling top quality gear. Also, living on a hill on the outskirts of the city, quite a few serious cyclists pass by, especially in the early hours of the day.

As each cyclist passed me by, I put my hand up in acknowledgment of their efforts and thanks for co-operation. Everyone of them smiled, nodded or waved back - cool bunch of lads :)

I'm sure I will be adding to this occasional series, so I have labeled this image No1.
