East Coasting

Galah

We spent a very fruitful day in Coffs Harbour today made even better by a very nice cake (mandarin and poppy seed -absolutely yummy) and coffee for morning tea, and corn and ricotta fritters with avacado salsa and salad for lunch. The drive down and back was quite interesting - after all the floods and rain we had earlier this year the wetlands near Tucabia which had dried up during the years of drought, are now back and full of bird life. I was quite disappointed because there was nowhere safe to pull over and take photos. Anyway on arriving home there was such a commotion in the trees just a few metres from our place that I grabbed the camera and took a few shots - mainly Galahs and Lorikeets settling in for the night.
