Pickle experiment

I was served a lovely, slightly sweet, mixed vegetable pickle in Vienna about a week or so ago. Just the perfect pick me up for that lunch time salad, so I thought that I'd try to make some of my own. White cabbage, carrots and peppers accented with a little ginger and garlic with a pinch of chilli... As with all good food only time (and fermentation) will tell
