Double headed steam

Well, thats me finished with running around after steam trains until June. Now the garden beckons big time. The 2 Stanier 'Black 5's we have had in the Highlands for the last couple of days have now made their way back south. The area where this shot was taken was under tree plantation until the end of last year so you never saw this view of The Culloden Viaduct. Just about every train nut knows about it now. It was a good job I got there early. Right on time, 45407 'The Lancashire Fusillier and 44871 powered down the gradient towards the viaduct giving a good blast of smoke and steam to be whipped away in the icy wind blowing in our faces. I have left the red head in (bottom right) to give you a sense of scale of the brick built viaduct. To see the trains as individuals see my last 2 blips.
